Thanks for the good time on the road Glen. Jo take good care of Glen he was tired yesterday. And Jo your van landed at 11h30 pm in Milton in one piece.
Your two stars have something more to admire and love you for you are surely and inspiration to many. As they get older they will now know that they can do anything with a little effort and hard work.
Your act of love, kindness, and hard work for such a wonderful cause is truly amazing.
Could you not wait for me to get married now I have to look for some as good as you (lol) which is going to be hard now.
Scott I hope you have a great Fathers day you are in my prayers daily. (Glen’s Sister-in –Law Carrol)
Happy Father's Day to Scott, Glen, Over the last few months you have shown your kids not to give up, that through perseverance and hard work, you can accomplish anything. It is easier said than done. Cherish the moments today with your kids.
Happy father's day Scott and Glen. Glen I hope you got a good time with your family and that you are rested. Today you will get the distance like you are flying the last leg of the payring. EFI my friend, nothing more then EFI.
In honour of your ride and father's day I hopped on the bike and tried to redo our Milton ride. Well, the winds were strong and I didn't get far! Added to the (long) to-do list:oil bike; inflate tires; drink less beer. Oh wait... That doesn't make sense !
I remember Scott Lyon as a young boy in Toronto when we lived across the street from he and his family. We now live in Kingston where his parents are from and are looking forward to the day when Glen comes through Kingston. Best wishes to Scott and Glen for this endeavour. Dianne & Don Curtis
Glen Baxby is a pilot. He has travelled the world but until recently, had barely been across the street on his bike. That all changed when his friend Scott was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year.
Now Glen’s cycling across Canada to raise awareness and $500,000 in funds for the cure. Follow Glen on his journey over 7,300 km as he conquers mountains and metropolises, while fighting for hope and the future.
Be a part of Coast2Coast2Cure and help Glen’s determination be a vehicle for change.
Change Can Happen !

And check out the fun magic trick in the background!
How did they do that ? Click the link below to find out !
On October 22nd 2008, Air Canada Flight 869, a London to Toronto Boeing 777 touched down at 11:21am. Piloting that flight was Scott Lyon. The aircraft was taxied to the gate and the parking brake set. That ended another uneventful flight, and that was the last time anything in Scott Lyon's life was uneventful. Feeling more than just the ordinary jet lag, Scott made his way to his local hospital. The Royal Victoria Hospitalin Barrie Ontario, it would be Scott's new home for the next 2 weeks, before being transfered to Princess Margaret Hospital in downtown Toronto. The Diagnosis was soon made, and it hit like a ton of bricks, Cancer, a very rare type of Lymphoma.
Scott has been my close friend and colleague for many years. I felt powerless to help him and his family. He has young kids just as I have. I thought a lot about how I could support Scott and it came to me that I could honor Scott’s courageous journey by making one of my own. I can’t travel Scott’s path with him, but perhaps I can make a difference that could prevent others from having to go through what he is so bravely facing.
I intend to raise funds for cancer research by cycling from Victoria B.C. to St. John's Nfld. in sixty days or less. Our employer, Air Canada, has demonstrated its support and compassion by providing me with time off to complete the ride.
